A Kentico Case Study
Groundforce, a construction and e‑commerce business, needed to replace an obsolete CMS and consolidate several independent sites (product, technical library and country sites) into a single .com domain with subfolders for international expansion. Key challenges included making the site fully responsive and fast on mobile, integrating a searchable technical document library, adding user accounts and an enquiry-only shopping basket, and migrating products, users and documents without access to the old database.
NetConstruct rebuilt Groundforce on Kentico, creating a clean, mobile‑responsive site with divisional landing pages, a fully integrated technical library, and a bespoke enquiry basket using Kentico custom tables. Import tools brought products, users and documents across via XML, and separate UK, German and Irish site versions were launched. At go‑live (17 April 2015) the home page load time dropped from 8.98s to 3.89s, and the site now supports ongoing maintenance and future international roll‑outs.
