A Kentico Case Study
GoldenComm, a web development and marketing firm that grew from a single-person shop to a 70‑person company across multiple locations, needed to increase ROI by centralizing information, leveraging existing assets, and documenting best practices. Their existing Confluence wiki was outdated and not intuitive for a diverse set of roles, so the primary challenge was designing a classification and contribution system that would win company-wide buy-in and make the intranet useful for every employee.
The team built the GC Wiki as a peer-to-peer learning and onboarding platform—featuring blog categories, an interactive directory, calendar, custom modules, and a tagging-based search—to cement standards and enable autonomous work. Launched 1.5 months after development began, the responsive site later added SSO and advanced editing/searching; it now hosts 140+ articles from 28 contributors, increased employee self-sufficiency, and raised the level of internal conversations while preserving GoldenComm’s small-company feel.
