Family Medical Center - Customer Case Study

Family Medical Center, a Michigan-based not-for-profit federally qualified community health center with more than 35 years serving Monroe, southwestern Wayne, and southeastern Lenawee counties, needed an online platform to monitor patients predisposed to diabetes and hypertension. Backed by a competitive federal grant that required a Q4 launch, the project had strict requirements: HIPAA-compliance, bilingual content (English and Spanish), mobile-responsive design, scalability, security, and the ability to support unique per-client implementations.

FMC leveraged Kentico and partnered with Avantia, Inc. and Codesummit (a Kentico Gold Partner) to build the platform, adding custom code where needed and deploying on Azure to meet security, multilingual, mobile, and scalability goals. The platform launched on time, is live and growing with new features, is collecting and monitoring patient data, supports increasing front- and back-end users, and is reported to be intuitive and easy for patients to use.
