Exeter Hospital Redesign - Customer Case Study

Exeter Health Resources (Exeter Hospital) engaged Wakefly to redesign and consolidate three websites previously managed in Sitecore/MedTouch. The primary goals were to migrate existing content and functionality to a single Kentico multisite installation, simplify page production with shared templates and data structures, enable physician-data imports via CSV, and support future growth. Key challenges included synchronizing shared provider and location data across sites, preserving third‑party integrations for physician ratings and online booking (DocScores and ZocDocs), routing form notifications conditionally, and implementing a compliant, automated process to purge non‑PHI form data after admin review.

Wakefly launched all three sites on Kentico v9 in one instance, using Custom Tables and CSV mapping to import 200+ physicians and Kentico Linked Documents to ensure edits propagate across sites. Custom web parts pull DocScores/ZocDocs ratings and comments, Kentico email macros route form notifications based on responses, and an admin-review checkbox plus a scheduled task marks and deletes submissions 30 days after approval. The result is a scalable, easy-to-manage multisite platform that preserves existing functionality, streamlines content management, and met Exeter’s goals.
