Distinction built a dedicated website for celebrated children’s author Emily Gravett on behalf of Pan Macmillan. The brief was to create a new, visually rich brand and site—showcasing Emily’s hand‑drawn work—that would serve parents, teachers and illustration students; the project started as a blank canvas and required close collaboration with State of Flux to agree the creative and technical direction.

Distinction delivered an interactive “library” site filled with Emily’s characters, using object‑based navigation to surface books, activities, videos and author info, and chose Kentico to support the bespoke horizontal layouts and role‑based content editing. The result was strong engagement and client praise: 1.74% bounce rate, seven pages per session and a 6% goal conversion rate.
