EcuTek - Customer Case Study

EcuTek, a specialist in high-performance ECU tuning and remapping for Subaru, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Nissan, needed a new website to promote products, support customers and operate an online store. The key challenge was deep real-time integration: the store had to sync product licensing data via SOAP with a back-end database, pull product/pricing and customer-specific price lists from Sage 50 Accounts, enforce credit limits and product access for trade customers, apply custom shipping rates, and support mixed payments (part account credit and part SagePay card payment) while avoiding manual order transcription.

Discover IT delivered the site on Kentico CMS v6, building bespoke web services to connect the licensing database and Sage 50 so customer data, pricing, inventory and orders flow in real time. Sage data is mapped to Kentico roles, customer-specific pricing and access controls are applied on product pages, and orders are inserted directly into the Sage sales pipeline. Several Kentico e-commerce modules were mapped to Sage features (volume discounts, tax class, customer credit), SagePay was integrated, and the site—completed in about four months—eliminated manual imports/ transcription, sped up processing and ensured accurate, real-time order and pricing management.
