Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) needed a mobile-first, highly social and e-commerce-capable site to match its print and on‑campus presence for digital‑native students. The challenge was to replace offline, distributed club administration with an easy-to-use web portal that supported per-user permissions, QA/document publishing workflows, online payments and a responsive checkout — all on a hard deadline and within budget.

Get Started delivered a Kentico-based, fully responsive site with integrated e-commerce for events, courses and memberships (discounts and autocomplete checkout), optional external ticketing, a social media aggregator and a club admin portal with hierarchy and permissions. The launch produced consistent branding, increased student engagement, reduced manual back‑end work and overheads, and won the 2014 Melbourne Design Award for design and usability.
