A Kentico Case Study
DT Swiss, a manufacturer of high-quality bike parts with over 2,000 products, needed a 2007 website relaunch to serve diverse customer segments—from road racers to freeriders—without forcing users to create profiles. The main challenge was presenting relevant products and content to different audiences while supporting rich branding media (large images and a homepage movie) and driving customers to dealers or service centers.
Goldbach Interactive and orange8 implemented a Kentico-based site with five on-site content filters, full-page caching for performance, a custom spokes calculator (on- and offline) and a Bing-based dealer locator, plus integrations for newsletters, Flash data access and planned ERP (SAP) product imports. The result is a fast, multilingual site (3 languages) that preserves high-resolution branding assets, saved movie play states per user, an extranet for partners, several thousand spokes-calculator registrations shortly after launch and more than 1,000,000 visitors per year.
