Derry City and Strabane District Council - Customer Case Study

Derry and Strabane District Council, created in April 2015 from a local government reorganisation, needed a single, modern website and intranet to replace several old, inconsistent sites. i3 Digital won the tender to deliver a user-centred, responsive solution under tight timescales; challenges included varied legacy technology, the need to consult residents and stakeholders, a full content rewrite, and training for Council staff.

i3 Digital ran UX workshops and research, chose Kentico 8.2 for a flexible CMS, and built a clean, mobile-first site with easy navigation and admin control. The site launched on schedule at the end of March 2015, administrators reported the CMS was much easier to use after training, initial public feedback was very positive on desktop and mobile, and the Council planned follow-up surveys to continue improvements.
