Delta Shelving Systems, a manufacturing company serving a global B2B market, tasked Web Design Magic with building a Kentico-based site to increase brand awareness and sales. The main challenge was tightly integrating Kentico with an existing Java-based custom product design tool and the company’s ERP while maintaining data integrity, continuous synchronization, and keeping membership/authentication in Kentico with business logic in the ERP.

The team implemented Kentico E‑commerce and Membership integrated via WCF web services and Kentico Data Web Parts, adding queues, watchdogs and logging to ensure reliable, secure data exchange, plus extensive customizations for My Quotes, Saved Carts, Orders, pricing, discounts and shipping. The EXPRESSIT ecommerce site now sells worldwide, delivered healthy turnover in the first three months (November 2011 saw over 50% of revenue from web transactions), boosted global brand recognition and expanded the customer database.
