Competitive Innovations (CI) is a small IT solutions provider supporting government and industry with a geographically dispersed workforce. Email proved unreliable—especially for employees behind secure government firewalls or in device-restricted facilities—so CI needed a consistent, accessible way to share company news, job-related resources, training and basic HR processes with employees of varying technical skill levels.

CI’s technical team implemented the Kentico Intranet, providing secure individual logins, calendars, quick links, form-based workflows (help desk, time off), a documents library, news/newsletter features and role-based encrypted admin access with backend integration. The intranet streamlined communications and access to resources, reduced maintenance and content-management overhead, improved productivity and information security, and helped connect the distributed team while laying the foundation for user profiles and social features.
