A Kentico Case Study
Canada’s History, a national not-for-profit and bilingual organization, faced a major rebranding challenge: consolidate many independently styled programs under a single new look while accommodating different audiences and feature needs. The team needed a balance between reusable templates and tailored functionality — and everything had to work in French as well as English.
Working with web development partner Ecentricarts and implementing Kentico CMS, they launched a streamlined site (July 2009–March 2010) with features like blogs, events, forums, newsletters and analytics, with plans for phased feature rollouts. Results were strong: unique visitors rose 51% (6,115 → 9,269), page views more than doubled (18,222 → 40,919), bounce rate fell 9.28%, average time on site nearly tripled (1:46 → 4:51), and new visits increased 4.3%, indicating improved engagement and satisfaction.
