A Kentico Case Study
The CAK, an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Health, wanted to transform its informational website into an interactive customer portal so citizens could manage their affairs online. In 2016 the CAK set goals to improve communication, security, user‑friendliness and inter‑agency data exchange; key challenges were centralizing data from multiple CAK systems into Kentico, integrating forms with back‑end handling and validations, and simplifying previously unclear calculating modules.
TrueLime, together with CGI and Webs, built a Kentico‑based portal with a centralized data layer, one responsive calculating module that guides users to the right outcome, and Connectis cloud login (DigiD now, extensible later) for secure authentication. The portal attracted more than 8,000 signups in the first four weeks without outreach, tightened security and usability, and established a scalable foundation for extending forms and calculation features.
