Case Study: BOVAG connects 10,000 members in a collaborative digital community with Kentico

BOVAG, the Dutch trade association for automotive businesses with more than 10,000 members, renovated its physical BOVAGhuis and needed a digital counterpart to connect members and employees across branches. The goal was a secure online community where users could share information, ask questions and collaborate — including notifications, private messaging, forums, workgroups, document sharing and presence indicators — delivered in time with the building’s reopening.

Working with TrueLime and using Kentico, BOVAG launched a community site (delivered June–October 2013) that supports forums, online-user visibility, workgroups, message boards, document sharing and notifications, plus a narrowcasting solution for in‑building screens. The platform enabled real-time collaboration, made expertise and presence transparent, increased member engagement and knowledge sharing, and helped members and staff better leverage the network to improve business outcomes.
