A Kentico Case Study
BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry (www.cachwr.bc.ca) is a provincial government healthcare registry that protects patients by registering care aides and community health workers who work for publicly funded employers in BC. In 2011 the existing site and secure registry application no longer met user needs: the team needed audience-based navigation that prioritized registrants without neglecting employers and educators, seamless integration between the public site and secure registration system, simplified workflows to handle complex validation and approvals, and robust security and privacy controls.
Number 41 Media led stakeholder research, iterative wireframing and a unified visual design, then built a Kentico CMS website with a custom ASP.NET registration and administrative application tightly integrated for a seamless user experience. The result is a scalable, user-focused registry with clear audience sections, streamlined interaction flows, consistent branding across public and secure areas, strong security controls, and a maintainable platform that meets the needs of registrants, employers, educators and administrators.
