A Kentico Case Study
Asia Transpacific Journeys (ATJ) is a U.S.-based specialist in group and custom travel throughout Asia and the Pacific. ATJ needed a private customer portal to replace one-way public forms so clients could complete waivers, make payments, and recall and edit previously submitted data. The project required integration with ATJ’s FileMaker database over ODBC (including a VPN tunnel and robust queuing/error handling), importing hundreds of existing customer records with correct user roles, PayPal payment integration, and multiple secure user roles for individuals and travel agents.
BlueModus built the portal on Kentico using Custom Forms and a full FileMaker data layer, importing existing data and enabling family groupings, pre-populated trip IDs, editable HTML emails, and recall/edit of waivers. Agent-specific functionality and security controls were added, and PayPal was integrated. The result is far less re-keying and fewer errors, significant time savings for staff and customers, improved data accuracy, and a manageable step toward migrating the full site to Kentico and expanding portal features.
