Apptix, an IT infrastructure and technology provider, worked with Burns Marketing Communications to upgrade its Kentico CMS to Kentico 7 EMS to consolidate online marketing tools, eliminate an expensive Marketo contract, and enable in-house creation and management of landing pages, emails and lead capture. The project also needed to connect leads automatically to Salesforce and train marketing and technical stakeholders on a new workflow so the team could run campaigns and pursue future personalization and drip marketing initiatives.

Burns began with a full inventory of existing assets, consolidated common templates into flexible Kentico page and email templates, restructured HTML/CSS for easy editing, and used the pre-built Kentico–Salesforce connector to automate lead flow. A written training curriculum and web session brought the marketing team up to speed; the six-week effort delivered cost savings, automated lead transfers, and an empowered internal team able to build, launch and optimize campaigns with improved personalization capabilities.
