Get Started, a Melbourne web agency, was commissioned to publish the official website for the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission’s Final Report. The brief was high‑stakes: deliver a secure, accessible site in three months that would make three report volumes, 800 pages of content, 20,000 linked documents and hundreds of media items publicly available minutes after the report was tabled — and withstand massive, immediate public demand.

Working with design partner Three’s a Crowd, Get Started built the site in Kentico CMS, implemented accessibility and usability best practices, imported the content, integrated search, and deployed an eight‑server, load‑balanced environment with CacheFly CDN. The site stayed up at launch — 80,000 unique visitors downloaded 450GB in the first days, average throughput has been about 65 Mbps while web servers ran at only ~20% utilization — and the project resulted in hosting upgrades that improved spike readiness, security and performance for all clients.
