The Scalers, a Bengaluru-based firm that builds scalable software engineering teams, faced the challenge of rapidly scaling operations and people processes while keeping engineers “at the center of everything.” To manage headcount growth and professionalize HR operations, The Scalers selected Keka as their HRMS partner in 2018, initially adopting Keka’s Core HR module and later expanding to Onboarding, Helpdesk, Performance Management, Payroll, API integrations, policy tools and the Social Wall.

Keka implemented an end-to-end HR solution that automated payroll (condensed into six verification steps), synchronized leave and attendance, enabled configurable policies, streamlined onboarding and helpdesk workflows, and deployed a performance management module and engagement features. As a result, The Scalers grew from ~50 employees in 2018 to 400+ by 2021 (an 8x increase), reduced manual HR effort, improved payroll accuracy and timeliness, increased transparency in attendance and leave, and sped up issue resolution—all achieved with Keka as their HRMS.
