Hand-in-Hand slashes payroll processing time by 48 hours

Hand In Hand India, a Chennai-based non-profit with a largely on-field workforce, faced growing HR complexity across multiple trusts and global entities. Manual, paper-based attendance and fragmented leave policies slowed payroll, introduced errors, and left finance with little time to validate salaries. To centralize operations and automate processes, Hand In Hand India selected Keka, implementing Keka HRMS—primarily its attendance, payroll, mobile app and document-management modules.

Keka integrated biometric attendance, standardized leave balances across entities, and automated payroll workflows, cutting payroll processing from nearly three days to just one day (a 48-hour reduction) and reducing loss-of-pay instances from 392 to 63 within three months. Keka also enabled a revamped payroll cycle, secure document storage, and improved employee engagement via its mobile app and Social Wall, giving HR and finance more accuracy, time for verification, and operational efficiency.
