TINT delivers user-facing metrics faster with Keen

TINT, Filestack’s user‑generated‑content (UGC) platform used by brands like Coca‑Cola, Nike, Marriott and Nestlé, needed to collect and manage large volumes of UGC and surface transparent, timely analytics for customers. Early attempts with MySQL and DynamoDB failed to handle the event scale and time‑series queries, consuming engineering resources and delaying other product work.

TINT integrated Keen via its Ruby gem for straightforward event capture and querying (tracking visitors, clicks and scrolls), added caching, and prototyped queries in Keen’s tools. The result was a fast, reliable analytics product delivered with far less engineering overhead, better customer ROI, and more time to focus on core features while Lean continued to scale and innovate the metrics platform.
