Quartz, a fast-growing digital media outlet, built Chartbuilder to create data-driven visuals and launched Atlas as a home for standalone, embeddable charts that spread virally. The team needed to measure how readers were interacting with and sharing those charts across devices and external sites—metrics that didn’t fit traditional pageview-based analytics.
