Leoni’s Implementation of a Travel and Expense Solution

Leoni, a German cabling supplier to the automotive industry with more than 60,000 employees worldwide and 450 in France, ran a pilot travel program for 250 French travelers aimed at empowering users while cutting costs and improving supply‑chain efficiency. The company needed a single, easy‑to‑use solution suitable for both frequent and occasional travelers, flexible enough to reflect Leoni’s complex policy structure, and able to preserve its relationship with travel agency partner Carlson Wagonlit.

Leoni implemented KDS Neo’s three‑module Travel & Expense platform (trip booking, expense reporting and billing), offering door‑to‑door itineraries, mobile approvals, receipt digitization and an admin suite for policy flexibility—integrated with CWT and AirPlus. Results included about 90% online adoption, roughly 25% reduction in air spend, faster bookings and expense processing, fewer trips submitted thanks to upfront cost visibility, and improved reporting and productivity across travel, purchasing and accounts.
