South East Asia Gas Processing Plant Increased Profits by Over USD 10 Million/Year

KBC A Yokogawa Company worked with South East Asia Gas plant, a gas processing plant in Southeast Asia that wanted to improve profitability, raise yields, and build a culture of continuous improvement. The plant’s goal was to achieve at least USD 3 million per year in additional profit while helping employees develop the skills to identify and implement their own improvement opportunities.

KBC A Yokogawa Company used Petro-SIM to build a site-wide simulation model and a utility model, then identified and prioritized more than 50 profit improvement ideas, of which 24 were implemented with no capex. KBC also created an on-line sparing management tool to optimize gas turbine operation and maintain spinning reserve efficiently, helping the plant increase profits by USD 10 million per year and exceed its target by USD 7 million per year.
