KBC A Yokogawa Company worked with a leading liquified natural gas company operating a South East Asia LNG plant with eight trains. The customer wanted to reduce energy costs, improve yields, and build a culture of continuous improvement as lower oil prices pushed them to focus on managing margin and controlling energy, their largest operating cost.

KBC A Yokogawa Company performed a site-wide energy study and optimization roadmap using Petro-SIM to build a digital twin and test improvement options across the plant’s integrated process, fuel, steam, and power systems. The project identified more than 100 opportunities and led to six no-capex improvements worth over USD 73 million per year, while also creating a multi-year investment plan and strengthening the plant team’s ability to sustain ongoing profit improvements.
