KBC A Yokogawa Company worked with a leading oil power generation provider operating an offshore FPSO in West Africa. The customer needed to better match well deliverability to topside power generation, capture missed production opportunities, and reduce the risk and time associated with commissioning and startup. KBC A Yokogawa Company used Petro-SIM and the OSIsoft PI historian to support an integrated asset model across wells, topsides, and liquefaction facilities.

KBC A Yokogawa Company implemented a digital twin that combined data and physics, connecting the Petro-SIM simulator to the PI System for real-time feedback across disciplines. This gave the operator a single source of truth, improved engineer productivity, reduced errors and silos, and supported optimization without any CAPEX investment. The result was a production increase of 9,000 b/d and incremental profits of USD 180 million per year.
