A Kastle Systems Case Study
The Carbon Companies developed Penrose Square, an $80 million, mixed-use project near the Pentagon with 120,000 sq. ft. of retail/office space, 300 luxury apartments and a shared garage, and needed a security solution that would appeal to new and existing tenants in a high-traffic urban setting. They selected Kastle Systems to provide integrated access control and security services, including proximity pendants, visitor-management software and video surveillance.
Kastle Systems programmed proximity pendants to tie into the site’s access control, restricting entry to base-building points, individual apartments, maintenance areas, fitness centers, elevators and garages, and installed tenant-facing software to authorize visitors. Kastle Systems also deployed 55 cameras with a video command center in the maintenance office protected by window detection and motion sensors, delivering a layered security system that combines keyless convenience, tenant control and comprehensive monitoring across the development.
