A Kastle Systems Case Study
Property Group Partners manages Station Place, a 1.5 million sq. ft., three-building office complex in Washington, D.C., adjacent to Union Station and anchored by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which occupies about 77% of the space. Because the SEC required government-level security, Property Group Partners engaged Kastle Systems to provide access control and video surveillance technologies.
Kastle Systems implemented HSPD-12–compliant readers, integrated existing video assets, and extended access control to perimeter points, tenant suites, elevators and the 1,183-car garage, with 24/7 protection. The Kastle Systems solution is FISMA- and FIPS 201-compliant, was adopted by the SEC in June 2012, and delivered building-wide, government-grade security across the Station Place campus.
