Kastle's Solutions Heighten Security at Pre-School - 8 Parochial School Near The Nation's Capital

St. Luke Catholic School, a small parochial school in McLean, VA, struggled with an aging security infrastructure—dead cameras, mechanical keys on every door, no live monitoring and minimal visitor controls—while sitting near high-traffic corridors close to Washington, D.C. The school engaged Kastle Systems to modernize protection, selecting Kastle’s cloud-based access control, KastleVideo®, and Visitor Management services to address these gaps.

Kastle Systems integrated the old and new camera network (seven interior and six exterior cameras) onto a single cloud platform, installed card readers and electronic locks on every door, added a viewing station tied to Kastle’s central station, implemented Visitor Management with photo badges and barcoded invites, and tied fire panels and a panic/duress button into monitored response. As a result, St. Luke can remotely view footage and manage access rights in real time, revoke lost badges instantly, lockdown the school with the press of a button, and rely on Kastle Systems for ongoing maintenance—transforming 13 disparate cameras and mechanical-keyed doors into a centrally managed, measurable security posture.
