Case Study: Axel Springer achieves tighter global IT security and improved threat detection with Kaspersky Lab

A Kaspersky Lab Case Study

Preview of the Axel Springer Case Study

Tightening Global IT Security At Axel Springer

Axel Springer, one of Europe’s largest media companies with around 12,800 employees and roughly 10,000 endpoints across macOS and Windows, needed to replace an aging Symantec solution with a user‑friendly, cross‑OS security platform that could reliably detect and remove malware. Axel Springer selected Kaspersky Lab, evaluating options before choosing Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business managed via Kaspersky Security Center 10 to meet its heterogeneous, multi‑site requirements.

Kaspersky Lab implemented Kaspersky Security Center 10 after an eight‑week pilot, rolling the productive server out in February 2014 and deploying to 4,500 OS X clients in six weeks with a 1.17% error rate; Windows rollout followed and today the solution centrally manages 34 sites. The Kaspersky Lab deployment delivered improved detection rates, fewer performance disruptions, discreet AV protection that users barely notice, and faster access to current databases, positioning Axel Springer to protect its full ~10,000 clients.
