The Uni Of Lagos Eliminates Malware

The University of Lagos, a large multi‑campus government university serving some 40,000 students, faced repeated malware infections across diverse PCs, servers and mobile devices and had different departments running separate antivirus solutions. To standardize and strengthen protection, the University selected Kaspersky Lab and deployed Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business to secure roughly 10,000 nodes across its campuses.

Kaspersky Lab, working with local Gold Partner Netplus and Unilag’s IT team, implemented a multi‑layered solution — including anti‑malware, application/device/web controls, mobile security, patch management, encryption and the Kaspersky Lab Security Centre with master/slave servers — plus training and remote deployment. The result: malware problems have “almost disappeared,” administration is simplified, costly PC replacements due to infections have been avoided, and the University renewed and expanded its Kaspersky Lab deployment to add anti‑spam and systems management features.
