Protecting Vital Research At Brazil’s Top University

UNICAMP, one of Brazil’s leading research universities, faced repeated malware attacks and the challenge of securing a large, geographically dispersed community of students, staff and researchers while preserving easy, collaborative access to data. After a formal procurement process, UNICAMP selected Kaspersky Lab’s Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business Select (delivered via partner Microhard) to provide a consolidated, high-detection, centrally managed security platform.

Kaspersky Lab implemented a multi-layered solution managed through Kaspersky Security Center, protecting 18,000 endpoints (desktops, laptops and mobile devices) and 1,000 virtual servers. The deployment enforces policies, blocks malware and risky activity, and automates administration in Portuguese with inventory tools, giving UNICAMP transparent protection that reduces administrative overhead, prevents damaging attacks, and keeps vital research and user credentials secure.
