A Kaspersky Lab Case Study
Hampton Park Secondary College, a large Year 7–12 school in Melbourne known for its innovation, needed robust security for a fully virtualized, BYOD-ready environment that provides roughly 1,000 virtual desktops to about 1,200 students. With the Australian government roll-out of student devices prompting an IT overhaul, IT Manager George Mattar selected Kaspersky Lab—using Kaspersky Security for Virtualization and the cloud‑based Kaspersky Security Network—to address performance and data‑protection concerns in the school’s virtual server and desktop environment.
Kaspersky Lab deployed its virtual‑environment security solution with onsite demonstration, team training and flexible CPU‑core licensing; after six months the solution proved stable and reliable with no reported issues, delivering improved performance for users and reducing the risk of downtime or data loss. The successful rollout has encouraged Hampton Park Secondary College to consider expanding Kaspersky Lab protections across other IT endpoints.
