Preventing Security Attacks On Vimpelcom

PJSC VimpelCom, part of the global VimpelCom Ltd group, needed a reliable, high-performance way to protect its large corporate mail infrastructure from growing volumes of malware, spam and targeted attacks without slowing its IT systems. To address this challenge the company worked with Kaspersky Lab and deployed Kaspersky Lab Security 8 for Linux Mail Server (KLMS) as its perimeter email protection solution.

Kaspersky Lab implemented KLMS with the Kaspersky antivirus engine, cloud-based Kaspersky Security Network (KSN), enforced real‑time anti-spam updates, reputation content filtering and ZETA Shield for zero-day/exploit detection. The solution rapidly detects and quarantines malicious messages (including a stopped targeted attack with an exploit-laden XLS), reduced the volume of spam, lowered network load and administrative overhead, and delivered high spam-detection rates with minimal false positives, backed by Kaspersky Lab’s technical support.
