Preserving Data In Critical Situations

Riverside Healthcare, a multi-site not‑for‑profit medical center in Kankakee, Illinois serving around 350,000 patients annually with 2,400 staff and 300+ physicians, faced a critical need to protect sensitive patient and payment data while maintaining high system performance for time‑dependent clinical workflows. Their previous AV caused performance problems (about 100 staff complaints a year) and failed to detect some new devices, so Riverside turned to Kaspersky Lab, deploying Kaspersky Security for Business along with Kaspersky Security for Virtualization and the Advanced tier of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business.

Kaspersky Lab implemented a centralized security platform across 250 virtual servers, 400 virtual desktops (VDI), 225 physical servers and 2,900 workstations, adding anti‑malware, application/device controls, full‑disk and removable‑media encryption, and Mobile Device Management. The result: noticeably faster PC and image load times, universally positive user feedback, faster policy updates (reduced from a day to about half an hour), improved malware detection versus the prior solution, and ongoing rollout to ~400 mobile devices and expanded VDI — all delivered by Kaspersky Lab.
