LKQ, a Fortune 500 company and North America’s largest supplier of alternative vehicle replacement parts, was struggling with an underperforming security product that missed detections, degraded virtual-server performance, and demanded excessive maintenance as the business rapidly expanded. Director of IT Security and Governance David Matthewman evaluated vendors and selected Kaspersky Lab and its solutions (including Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and Kaspersky Security for Virtualization) to address the company’s global, highly distributed environment.

Kaspersky Lab executed a rip-and-replace deployment with Platinum Support, rolling out 15,000 endpoint licenses and mobile device management (95% complete by the second week of February 2015). The Kaspersky Lab solution delivered higher detection rates (remediating numerous malicious files missed by the previous product), eliminated the need to reboot virtual hosts for updates, reduced admin overhead to a single operator for the global console, and enabled LKQ to move from reactive firefighting to proactive security management.
