A Kaspersky Lab Case Study
Nuevo Hospital de Toledo, a 2020 state-of-the-art hospital in Castilla‑La Mancha with 850+ beds and more than 150,000 smart sensors, faced limited visibility and governance across its IT and OT environments after moving from construction to operations. Concerned about vulnerabilities in building systems (gas, lighting, HVAC), gaps in asset management, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, the hospital selected Kaspersky Lab as its long‑term cybersecurity partner.
Kaspersky Lab deployed Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response for corporate endpoints and Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (for Nodes and for Networks) to audit and secure OT systems, providing asset inventory, vulnerability and risk assessments, and non‑intrusive monitoring. The solution delivered full IT/OT visibility and governance, a substantial reduction in security vulnerabilities, optimized server load and network performance, achievement of Spain’s National Security Scheme compliance, and strategic cost savings through supplier consolidation and reduced support/training.
