Case Study: MOSGAZ achieves secure, uninterrupted gas distribution with Kaspersky Lab's Industrial CyberSecurity

A Kaspersky Lab Case Study

Preview of the MOSGAZ Case Study

Moscow’s gas distribution protected by Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity

MOSGAZ, one of Moscow’s largest gas distribution enterprises operating nearly 7,500 km of networks and transporting 23 billion m³ annually, faced the need to protect its industrial control systems and meet Russia’s Federal law no. 187‑FZ cybersecurity requirements. To increase the reliability of automated operations and counter cyberattacks while allowing for testing and seamless integration with existing automation, MOSGAZ engaged Kaspersky Lab and its industrial cybersecurity offering.

Kaspersky Lab implemented Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS), working with system integrator ARinteg to perform a detailed infrastructure assessment, deploy passive network monitoring and endpoint protections for SCADA servers, HMIs, engineering workstations and PLCs, and integrate the solution into live operations. Kaspersky Lab completed testing and integration without causing failures or interruptions, put KICS into commercial operation, and delivered non‑intrusive continuous monitoring, improved compliance with industrial‑cybersecurity rules, and greater resilience against intrusions.
