goods.ru, a subsidiary of M.Video and a major Russian e-commerce marketplace, faced rising abuse of its lucrative loyalty program—account takeovers, fake accounts and fraudulent bonus redemptions that threatened revenue and reputation. To protect its customers and preserve a seamless user experience, goods.ru engaged Kaspersky Lab and deployed Kaspersky Fraud Prevention.
Kaspersky Lab implemented Kaspersky Fraud Prevention with machine‑learning and proactive detection, integrating real‑time analytics and entity‑linking to spot account takeover and new‑account fraud. The pilot was low‑cost and, after full rollout, helped goods.ru halve fraudulent transactions and achieve an 87% agreement between Kaspersky Fraud Prevention verdicts and internal analytics, creating comprehensive monitoring and pattern maps to safeguard users and the platform.
