Case Study: AGC Glass Germany achieves continuous production and protects 10 production lines with Kaspersky Lab's Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity

A Kaspersky Lab Case Study

Preview of the AGC Case Study

Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity protects AGC

AGC Glass Germany GmbH (AGC), a supplier of automotive glass to BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Volvo and Opel, needed to ensure continuous, stable production because delays or breakdowns can trigger cancellation fees and heavy contractual penalties. Facing an expanded attack surface from networked production equipment and real-time Industry 4.0 systems, AGC adopted Kaspersky Lab’s Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS) in 2016 to secure its manufacturing environment.

Kaspersky Lab implemented Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity across AGC’s site, protecting all 10 production lines and monitoring all network levels with malware protection, whitelisting, vulnerability management, device-access controls (authorized USB detection), integrity checks and semantic monitoring. The modular Kaspersky Lab solution provides immediate anomaly alerts, preserves operational continuity during deployment, and reduces the risk of costly contractual penalties while integrating with AGC’s Tomorrow Connect platform.
