Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity passes industrial infrastructure pilot test at NLMK

NLMK Group, one of the world’s most cost-efficient metallurgical companies, ran a pilot to harden industrial control systems (ICS) in its electrical steel shop while consolidating ICS computing resources across territorially distributed data centers. Facing the need to maintain operational continuity during virtualization, create a clear network perimeter, securely transfer automation data to corporate networks, and reduce maintenance costs, NLMK Group partnered with Kaspersky Lab and evaluated Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity to protect its virtualization servers, engineering workstations and PLCs.

Kaspersky Lab implemented Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity — a non‑intrusive portfolio combining endpoint protection with passive network monitoring, intrusion and anomaly detection — and addressed virtualization-specific challenges (hypervisor load and AV scanning). All solution components were successfully tested and are undergoing user testing in the steel shop, delivering improved risk management, a secure perimeter and greater ICS resilience while preserving operational continuity; NLMK Group has indicated the pilot is the start of a longer technology partnership with Kaspersky Lab.
