IT Security Enables Bank To Focus On Customers

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited, a Dhaka‑headquartered Islamic bank serving 119 branches and more than 1,000 IT users across Bangladesh, faced repeated virus, worm and Trojan infections caused by lack of central control, unauthorised USB use and risky web access that disrupted core banking services and forced costly, time‑consuming repairs. To address these issues the bank evaluated vendors and selected Kaspersky Lab, deploying Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business to secure endpoints and enable centralized policy and device control.

Kaspersky Lab implemented multi‑layered anti‑malware protection plus firewall, application, device and web control, mobile security and centralized systems management, protecting servers and 1,000+ individual users from a single console. The result: smoother network traffic, blocked malicious sites and removable‑device infections, reduced bandwidth waste, uninterrupted core banking services and faster incident response via a local partner—freeing IT staff to focus on online banking rollout and customer‑facing improvements.
