ECN Guarantees High Security Levels

The Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN), the largest Dutch energy research institute with about 1,200 employees and a subsidiary NRG, needed robust protection for servers, desktops, laptops and sensitive measurement/control applications, plus secure remote access for home workers, centralized management, encryption for older Windows XP systems, and clear patch/update visibility. After a Gartner-informed tender ECN chose Kaspersky Lab and its Kaspersky Total Security for Business to meet these requirements.

Kaspersky Lab deployed Kaspersky Total Security for Business as a single integrated solution delivering antivirus, encryption, centralized management and patch-management functionality; migration by Kaspersky’s partner WebLimits was completed in two weeks. The solution secured ECN’s core systems and home users, maintained the security status of some 300 key software packages, removed the need for separate patch-management software and saved ECN many thousands of euros while enabling rapid detection and elimination of threats.
