Atyrau Oil Refinery - Customer Case Study

Atyrau Oil Refinery, one of Kazakhstan’s largest and the country’s sole producer of petrochemical products, needed to protect its IT and industrial control systems (ICS) against a rising number of targeted cyberthreats. To secure its production processes the Atyrau Oil Refinery turned to Kaspersky Lab and chose the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS) XDR platform, including KICS for Nodes and KICS for Networks.

Kaspersky Lab adapted and deployed KICS to the refinery’s specific infrastructure, configured rules and security policies, and trained refinery specialists with minimal operational disruption. The Kaspersky Lab solution provided rapid detection and response, richer monitoring and analytics of technological processes, and strengthened overall information security — delivering continuous cybersecurity telemetry and improved incident handling for the refinery.
