Archer Wells Futureproofs Its IT Solution

Archer, a global oilfield services company based in Houston, needed reliable, cost‑effective endpoint protection to avoid costly production delays and to cope with a shrinking IT headcount as oil prices fell. When its previous contract ended, Archer chose Kaspersky Lab and deployed Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business Advanced to strengthen defenses, centralize administration and add automation without future licence surprises.

Kaspersky Lab delivered a comprehensive endpoint platform, with Archer purchasing 1,000 endpoint licences and 40 virtual server licences on a three‑year deal, running trials and management‑console training before full rollout. The solution’s automated scanning, quarantining and centralised console cut malware incidents from weekly to about one per month, saved an estimated 8–12 hours of IT work per month, and significantly reduced security issues — a result Archer rates as a very successful project with Kaspersky Lab.
