A Kaseware Case Study
Eanes Independent School District (Eanes ISD) faced the challenge of new state mandates for threat assessment and a fragmented system for tracking student safety incidents. The district, which serves approximately 7,800 students, relied on disparate tools like Google Forms and paper records, which hindered communication and a holistic view of potential risks. To modernize its safety protocols and centralize data from its student information system, Eanes ISD adopted the investigative case management platform from Kaseware.
Kaseware provided a centralized platform that integrated all student data, streamlined incident reporting, and automated workflows for communication and intervention. This allowed Eanes ISD to proactively address a wide range of safety concerns, from threats to playground injuries. A key result was the success of their "Westlake Watch" anonymous tip program, which now receives approximately 500 tips per year, fostering a proactive safety culture. The implementation of Kaseware was integral to preventing a major school threat in September 2024, ultimately creating a safer and more supportive learning environment for students and staff.
