McDonald’s partnered with Kard to reach new and younger customers as it worked to protect and grow its market share in the competitive fast food space. Using Kard’s card-linked rewards solution, McDonald’s aimed to encourage engagement from future generations of consumers and build a more frequent, loyal customer base.

Kard implemented a card-linked offer that cardholders could access in their banking app, including a map of nearby participating McDonald’s locations. The campaign drove strong results, including 3,060 unique users, more than 52% of offer users returning for another purchase, 396 users visiting five or more times, over $67K in transaction revenue, and a 10:1 return on ad spend, with average transaction value at $8.86, 10% above market average.
