S&C Electric faced the challenge of communicating the value of its complex self-healing grid solution amid growing reliability issues caused by aging infrastructure and more extreme weather. Kaon Interactive helped S&C explain the importance of its IntelliTeam® SG Automatic Restoration System, which is designed to improve grid stability and reduce the impact of unscheduled outages.

Kaon Interactive developed a 3D interactive story that visualized how IntelliTeam® SG rapidly detects a distribution fault, isolates it, and restores power to unaffected areas by rerouting electricity. The application used real smart switches and actual test-lab settings to create a realistic experience and helped convey the solution’s value more clearly, though the case study does not cite specific quantitative results.
