Delivering digital learning technology for enhanced arts education

Rhode Island School of Design, a world-class art and design college with 2,480 students, needed an adaptive, visually driven LMS to present multimedia-rich coursework and keep students engaged. To meet this need, RISD implemented the kannu learning management system for its 500‑student freshman survey course "Global Modernisms."

kannu delivered a responsive, visually appealing interface with simple content authoring, multimedia embedding, direct messaging, automated surveys, and student analytics. The platform made large amounts of visual material easier to navigate—letting students focus on learning rather than the software—and provided faculty with measurable insights into course performance, improving usability and engagement compared with their previous LMS.
