The customer, a leading healthcare analytics software providing company, faced significant challenges in managing the immense volume of Machine-readable Files (MRFs) generated under new Hospital Price Transparency rules. Their existing system could not efficiently centralize this data for the advanced analytics and price comparisons required by patients, payers, and providers. KANINI was engaged to address this need.

KANINI developed a central data platform using a serverless architecture with Databricks and AWS Lambda to automate the ingestion, processing, and transformation of the large MRF datasets. The solution stored the data in Delta tables for efficient analysis and integrated with Power BI to create interactive dashboards for comparing charges and identifying outliers. This provided the customer with a secure, scalable, and compliant data environment that improved decision-making and laid a foundation for value-based care initiatives.
